The band
Formed in Braintree, Essex, on 5 October 1990, The Prodigy grew from Liam Howlett’s underground rave productions into one of the most powerful, unpredictable and physically intense live acts in the world. Their shows were never simply performances of electronic tracks; they were confrontational, high-energy experiences driven by thunderous beats, punk attitude, relentless movement and an unmistakable connection with the crowd. At the centre of it all was Howlett’s music, brought explosively to life by the core members and the musicians who joined them on stage. These are the people who helped shape The Prodigy’s identity and carried that noise, energy and chaos to audiences around the world.
